The Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton School Board is conducting a search for a new school superintendent. The School Board contracted with the Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) to provide guidance and assist us with the search. The application deadline for this position is January 11, 2021, and the new superintendent will begin work in the district on July 1, 2021.
The School Board met on September 21, 2020, to plan the search. Stakeholder input regarding the superintendent search was requested in the form of the first survey that was open from October 9, 2020 to October 30, 2020. MSBA will now be conducting virtual listening sessions with the DGF School Board and welcome staff and community members to participate in one of the sessions listed below. If you would like to participate, please complete the Listening Session Request Form and we will send you a Google Meet link to join the meeting.
Listening Sessions:
Staff: Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 7:30 a.m.
Community Members: Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.
MSBA will be inviting you to participate in a second round of input on the superintendent search, but this time with a different focus: the Listening Sessions survey (please respond to this survey even if you did not participate in the first one). This survey includes five short, open-ended questions and is qualitative in nature. Hard copies of the survey are also available at the District office (108 Main Street, Dilworth) and school site offices. Please return all completed Listening Session surveys to the DGF Schools, PO Box 188, Dilworth, MN 56529) or submit online by December 28, 2020.
Your feedback will provide valuable insight to the School Board as they make this important decision for the Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton School District.

Consensus is the School Board will be conducting contract negotiations with Shannon Hunstad, and a contract is expected to be approved by the School Board at the February 8, 2021, regular school board meeting.
