Position: Full-time Industrial Technology Teacher for Dilworth Glyndon Felton Middle School

Minimum Qualifications: Requires Industrial Technology License to teach grades 6-8

Summary: This position will focus on teaching STEAM related Industrial Technology. Preferred candidate has experience or knowledge in the use of CAD, coding, or are willing to learn those programs. In addition, the middle level provides exploratory opportunities in the areas of industrial careers. The candidate should have the ability to instruct students considering the engineering, architectural, construction, or design fields. Candidates must be highly motivated, have an ability to form partnerships with the local IT industry, and have the ability to develop IT programming for the 21st Century. Responsible for preparing lessons, instructing students with a wide range of abilities; assessing student learning to plan instruction; creating an engaging and respectful classroom environment; communicating with students, parents and staff; maintaining accurate records; supervising students; participating in school initiatives and learning professionally.

Early Childhood Special Education Teacher, 1.0 FTE, Position starts 2020-2021 school year

Job Summary:

Applications are being accepted for a full-time Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher starting Fall 2020. This position provides an opportunity to work with young children, with a variety of disabilities. Our ECSE program is fully integrated within the preschool and School Readiness programs, allowing for strong collaboration between general education and special education staff. The successful candidate must hold a valid Minnesota ECSE license. Responsibilities include: providing direct and indirect services, conducting comprehensive evaluations, and following due process while creating and monitoring IFSP's and IEP’s. Candidates must have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with administration, staff, and families.

Speech Language Pathologist for the Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton School District, 1.0 FTE

Start Date: August 2020

License and Education Required:

  1. Minnesota PreK-12 Speech Language Pathologist license required.
  2. Masters Degree in Communication Disorders required.
  3. Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred.

Job Duties and Requirements:

  1. Identify students with speech and/or language needs and provide programming based on Individual Education Plans.
  2. Complete required due process procedures within mandated timeframes to include evaluations and Individual Education Plans.
  3. Maintains and improves professional skills by participating in building and department meetings, formal coursework, workshops, and seminars in an effort to stay current with best teaching practices.
  4. Works in a supportive and collaborative manner with colleagues and supervisors.
  5. Will participate in training on third party reimbursement and implement third party reimbursement tasks as needed.

Knowledge and Skills:

  1. Knowledge in appropriate assessment procedures and tools
  2. Knowledgeable in research based remediation procedures for speech and/or language disabilities.
  3. Able to analyze assessment data and make appropriate recommendations.
  4. Demonstrated ability to operate a computer, software and necessary classroom technology.
  5. Ability to develop effective and positive working relationships with students, staff, administrators, parents, and the community.
  6. Maintain professional composure while dealing with a variety of personalities and situations.
