DGF Community Education is hosting the 2nd Annual Winter Blast Boys and Girls Youth Basketball Tournament on February 25, 2023.
Brackets - Posted one week prior to the event
Team/Player Waivers: All waivers must be submitted at the check-in table and prior to the first game.
Glyndon: 513 Parke Avenue, Glyndon, MN - Enter through door #13 on SW side of the building.
Dilworth: 108 Main St., Dilworth, MN - Enter through door #1 on the north side of the building.
Doors: Open at 7:15 am at both sites.
Admission: $6 for adults and $4 for students (K-12). Players and coaches are free. Paid guests will be given a wristband to wear throughout the tournament. No credit cards are accepted and no ATM is onsite.
DGF Winter Blast Tournament Shirts are on sale at both sites for $12.00. Supplies are limited so get yours early!
Concessions: We will have both hot and cold food at our concession stand along with beverages and snacks so stop by to get some treats! We ask that no outside coolers be brought in.
We ask that each team brings a couple of their own basketballs for warm-ups. We will provide game balls for each game. No bouncing any balls in the hallways, lobby or entrances. Please remind your players! For each game, one parent needs to run the clock and one serves as the scorekeeper. Be organized and have this person designated so we can start games on time! When the game is over, leave the scoresheet at the table so the tournament organizer can pick it up (she will be wearing the DGF Winter Blast T-Shirt).
Teams will be directed to a designated location to store their belongings as we can't have all the bags and coats in the gyms or laying on the lunch tables.
We ask that coaches, players, parents, and fans show sportsmanship and NOT argue with the referees. It is difficult to find refs so show patience and grace for what they do!
Weather: As you know, our MN weather is unpredictable. If we have any weather delays, they will be listed HERE on our Community Ed Cancellations/Delays/Updates page.
If you need to reach me on game day, please call Tracy Tollefson at 218-443-2046.
