Tournament Rules
Map of Building

Notes from Tournament Organizer
Thank you again for participating in our upcoming tournament.  This is our largest tournament ever with 61 teams!  We tried to limit back to back games but also tried our best to limit long wait for games.  As always, our concession area will be open and fully functioning.  We have heard many compliments about the diversity of food offerings and quality of food so we hope you take advantage of our concessions.

No outside basketballs are allowed into our tournament site this year.

We are trying something new this year to eliminate bouncing basketballs in the hallways.  The bouncing of basketballs can cause damage to our facility.  Additionally, parents might like a little less noise in the commons area.  We will provide all warmup basketballs for each team.  Lastly, we will have some activities available in the commons area for those with some excess energy!  Please inform your parents/players of this rule prior to entering the facility.

Here are some final details for January 14th (5th and 6th grade) and January 15th (3rd and 4th grade):

1.  Attached is a map of the Central Cass facility, 802 North 5th Street, and parking.  I've numbered the 4 courts that we will use as well.  Please instruct your parents to park on the east side of the building where noted on the attached pdf.  We will only be using 1 entrance into the building and it is nearest the parking lot at door #7.

2.  Access to the West Gym (Court 4) will be through the school using the far southern hallway and down the far western hallway.  We will have signs directing people as well.

3.  We will be charging $5 for all adults except coaches.  Kids will get in free.

4.  Mike McKinnon, 701.219.0898, and Mike Kobbervig, 701.361.1309, are the tournament directors.  Additional tournament staff will be wearing hot pink t-shirts with a CYBA logo on the front and "Tournament Staff" on the back.  Tournament staff will be available throughout each day to answer questions.  Please don't hesitate to text the tournament directors if you have questions/concerns and can't locate a tournament staffer.

5.  We will handle tie-breakers accordingly for pool play:  1.)  Head to Head; 2.)  Fewest Points Allowed; 3.)  Most Points Scored; and 4.)  Coin toss.

6.  If you have not sent in your liability waiver, please turn it in at our admission table upon arriving.

7.  I will also be loading the brackets to our CYBA website at:

8.  Rules will be posted at every scorer's table.

9.  Weather related updates will be emailed to the contact listed on the registration form. We will attempt to provide any weather related modifications ASAP.

10.  Lost and found will be located next to our admission table.

Please give CYBA any feedback during the tournament that you think will help us run future successful events.  We will also be sending a survey to all team contacts at the conclusion of the tournament.
